Jean completed her Masters in Physical Therapy and Bachelor in Kinesiology at the University of British Columbia. She is also a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the NSCA and a Registered Yoga Instructor.
She brings a multi-faceted approach, by looking at the whole body for contributing factors to injury and sub-optimal function. She is passionate about helping her patients recover from acute and chronic injuries, avoid injury all together and improve performance. She believes that, “Physical Therapy extends beyond rehabilitation; rather it is a lifelong pursuit of optimizing the body for the future.” Her treatments are usually a combination of hands-on manual therapy, dry needling, therapeutic exercises and movement re-education.
Being active all her life, Jean completed several marathons before finding her love for strength training and bodybuilding. She is a Bikini Competitor and was a Provincial Record holder in Powerlifting. She is a strong advocate for injury prevention, and bridging the gap between rehab and training.
Jean is fluent English and Mandarin, and sees patients of all ages and abilities. To learn more, visit her website: www.thephysiquephysio.com
